Ajang penghargaan bergengsi Academy Awards kembali digelar untuk ke-88 kali di Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, Los Angeles pada 28 Februari 2016 malam atau 29 Februari 2016 pagi WIB. Kali ini yang menjadi pembawa acara adalah Chris Rock yang berkulit hitam, mungkin untuk menyingkirkan #OscarsSoWhite tahun kemarin yang langsung disinggung oleh sang pembawa acara saat pembukaan Oscar 2016.
