Early Life :
Elizabeth Debicki was born in Paris and raised in Melbourne. She developed her interests in ballet at an early age and trained as a dancer until deciding to switch to theatre. A student at Huntingtower School in Melbourne's east, Debicki achieved two perfect study scores in Drama and English. In 2010, she completed a degree in drama at the University of Melbourne's Victorian College of Arts.

Career Highlights :
Debicki made her film debut with a brief appearance in the film A Few Best Men (2011). In December 2012, Debicki was the subject of a photo shoot for Vogue Australia. She gained popularity for playing Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby (2013). She was nominated for the 2014 Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play for her stage performance in ''The Maids'', she played Madame in Jean Genet's play. She received the Best new comer award at Sydney Theatre Awards. She will be seen in the film Everest (2015).
