Emmy Awards merupakan ajang bagi insan pertelevisian dunia yang memberikan penghargaan kepada program-program televisi Amerika Serikat. Memasuki tahun ke-69, para nominasi telah diumumkan 13 Juli lalu. Tak jauh berbeda dari penyelenggaraan sebelumnya, tahun ini Emmy Awards diadakan di Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, Amerika Serikat.
Tahun ini Saturday Night Live (SNL) menjadi acara TV peraih nominasi terbanyak, yakni 22 nominasi. Sementara peraih penghargaan terbanyak dipegang oleh serial The Handmaid’s Tale dan Big Little Lies yang masing-masing mendapatkan 5 piala. Emmy Awards 2017 dipandu oleh komedian dan pembawa acara yaitu Stephen Colbert. Nah di tahun ini juga ada nama-nama baru di setiap nominasi lho.
